In the words of my teacher, Mr. David Goyette, journalism can be a very noble occupation
but can also be a very permiscuous one. Journalism is about research, facts, and opinions as well. Journalism can be
used to inform different nations of other problems in the world, it brings together different cultures when reporters travel
to differnet parts of the world or newspaper discuss issues accross the globe such as starvation or diseases in
third world countries, wars, and international government issues. Journalism can also be a way to let people know how problems
are being taken care of how our country plans on correcting a situation to reunite its people as one united people. However,
journalism can be a way to criticise people, put an organization or movement down. Unless, this is done ethically and the
writer doesn't get blinded by favoritism or personal issues than it is not journalism it is a personal vent to criticise or
get back at someone or something that opposes them. Journalism, however, is an important part of my life. I
began writing poetry in the third grade and I could'nt stop. Personally, I use journalism to share my opinion about
anything and everything. I enjoy writing very much and if I couldn't write I would probably hold a lot inside because
when I write all of my research and opinions come out through my finger tips. I know that the paper won't judge
me and the computer wont judge me, (with the exception of spelling or punctuation errors) I know someone will read what I
wrote but it doesnt matter anymore, I don't worry about what they might say because how I feel is there on the paper
and they can't ignore or forget my opinion because it has been presented and heard.
